Our products are designed to provide a means for the visually impaired to navigate indoors or outdoors accurately and safely.Our mapping system utilizes satellite map imagery and finds sidewalks and safe pathways to create our guide maps. We utilize computer vision to keep one safely on the sidewalks. GPS is leveraged, but not for navigation. GPS is used for general points of interests and addresses. We also switch to GPS for routing and navigation within a vehicle. Multiple sensors are used for detecting ground obstacles such as holes or uneven spots on the walk way. Head level objects are also detected so that you may avoid them. Steps detection, whether it be up or down, is provided. Our device can read packages, business cards, signs and other printed media. RFID technology is used for additional information and location assistance.
